This year, IEEE DySPAN brought together around 120 people from 13 countries.  It had approximately 15 exhibitors/sponsors showcasing technology or projects and we were very excited to be one of them!

IEEE DySPAN is the premier global forum for cutting-edge developments in spectrum technology and policy. This year’s event took place in London from May 12-16, and focused on advancing spectrum innovation to meet the growing demands for wireless capacity across diverse applications. IEEE DySPAN 2025 invites submissions of research papers that address key challenges and breakthroughs in spectrum management, access, sharing, and policy, with particular interest in interdisciplinary work that spans both technological and regulatory perspectives.

At the event, Yi Chu and Joshua Shackleton demonstrated the CF-MIMO testbed, showcasing our hardware/software allowing for RIC actuation. David Grace also publicised the 6G Lab of the North. Additionally, The University of Sheffield promoted their National 6G Radio Systems Facility, which complemented the YO-RAN stand. The event prompted many in-depth discussions about O-RAN technology, the CF-MIMO testbed, use of AI enabled RIC with xApps/rApps, spectrum management and regulation, as well as the use of DSIT funding to foster diversification of the supply chain. We’d like to thank everyone that came to talk to us and we hope to stay connected with you in the future!
